Rated 4 out of 5 by from Auger and juice screen replacement We used our Omega juicer almost daily for a little over a year before the auger and the juicing screen broke. Not sure why. It might have been from occasionally putting them in the dishwasher (top shelf). However, we love the juicer! Tried to order parts at the time, but the auger was out of stock for a while. The auger is rather expensive and we thought about just replacing the whole unit instead of spending $70 for a part. Still, it was cheaper to just buy the auger when it became available. It arrived less than a week after we ordered it. I'm thankful to e juicing again! From now on we will wash the parts by hand only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from $100/yr parts cost?!? No Way! I don't know who the reviewer is who posted $100/yr parts cost, but I found myself shaking my head while reading the review. First of all, his/her screen would have been under warranty, that's $10 for shipping. Done. (Not $30). I've owned the 8004 juicer with this auger for over 3 yrs. The auger looks like new except for some veggie residue that can linger after washing. (A little vinegar or a good scraping can likely take that fully off.) This auger is a solid piece of equipment. To reiterate, I juice often and have for years. There's rarely a day that I don't juice and there are many days when I juice twice. I juice LOTS of greens and carrots (among other things). My auger continues to be strong and sturdy. Companies hear from me when I think their products are of poor quality. I've had no problems with Omega, and I must admit that I was a bit careless with the screen [see my review under the 8004 model]. I love my juicer. In fact, I'm actually on the site today looking to purchase another for a family member.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from $100+ yearly parts cost I hope someone reads this before buying an Omega juicer. New, it worked fine. I used (past tense) mine for a year then it started making mush more than juice. It clogged and backed up. I ordered a new screen, $30. It didn't help too much. I looked at the auger and can see it's very worn. I've checked here for 7 months and it shows out of stock still. It's $70 plus shipping and tax but never in stock. Where did all that plastic go from the auger, in the juice. Most of my juicing was greens and not carrots so I'm surprised it wore out in one year or less. I only noticed it at the one year mark. So pay $300 for a juicer, then $100 a year for parts (plus tax, shipping and waiting for delivery) and drink plastic due to wear all year. If you want parts, out of stock. I'm going to buy a Breville with a metal screen/blades and not have to spend $100+ a year as their parts last longer. Yes, it's a centrifugal juicer but I also won't have to cut up everything into bite-sized pieces before juicing and I'll only have two parts to clean. Like the other reviewer noted, it's like the ink and printer game. They think you'll love their product so much, you'll just keep paying. Why be so arrogant when there are many other juicers out there at the same price point and with the same performance?

I have Omega 8006, purchased 2011.  Replaced screen a few months ago.  Drum has crack.  If I purchase the drum alone will it work with my unit? I am reading there have been some "upgrades" that don't work with some parts.

When will Omega Juicer 8006 auger black be available. Is there any difference between Omega Juice 8005 auger and Omega Juice 8006.

Asked by: Uday

Hi, What do you recommend to get rid of the stains specially on the auger? I wash and scrub the juicer every night after making my juice but these stains from the vegetables and fruits are very tough. Thank you

The part may wear out over time ... depending on how often you juice and the items you are juicing. But our warranty covers for 15 years, parts and performance.
