Omega’s Nutrition System is a “masticating-style” juice extractor and more! A masticating juicer juices at low speeds of 80 RPM minimizing heat build-up and oxidation. The auger system forces produce into a tight chamber, grinding and pressing the food to squeeze out the juice from items as fine as wheatgrass and leafy vegetables. With the Omega Nutrition System you can also make all-natural nut butters, baby food, soy milk, almond milk and a variety of healthy snacks. NC800/900 compared to the 8006: The size of the feed chute is larger so you spend less time prepping before juicing. The adjustable end cap with 5-settings increases juice extraction efficiency. Use setting 1 for citrus fruits and setting 5 for tougher items like wheatgrass. OMEGA LOW SPEED JUICING SYSTEM

NC900HDC Nutrition System is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Constantly getting stopped up! My sister got me hooked on juicing using her VRT350, no issues. After reading reviews I decided to step it up a bit as space was not an issue and the pasta options sounded great. I have had huge issues with the juicer stopping up when juicing apples and oranges. The apples must be perfectly crisp to prevent clogging and the oranges, well who knows. I thought I could live with it so continued to use it until past the time I could return it. Big mistake...I would love to have the VRT350. BTW - I've juiced numerous different types of produce every day for 42 days and wish to continue but feel the frustration may get the better of me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from If they can combine the vertical ease... I had the vertical juicer before - but found that the pulp exhaust would often clog up (any stringy veggie). Cutting up these stringy veggies helped but sort of defeats the purpose of avoiding oxidation!!! So I sold it to a friend and got the 900hdc. Fantastic - no more exhaust jams! Only problem, and this is the same for all horizontal juicers, you constantly have to push the veggies down with the push-thing-of-ma-jig. If only they would "improve" the feed mechanism - then I would say this is a 5 * juicer (and probably the only one) - like add a pre-step that would act like the vertical pull mechanism.... But don't get me wrong - I do truly like the product - and cleaning it is simple enough!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our best machine! We bought this magic juicer 6 months ago and we push it to the limits. Al we do are juices and coconut milk. Juices, either fruit or veggies, come out with a lively, whole, delicious texture. Pulp comes out dry. We use it every day for lots of juices. The plastic parts, including the Auger have been replaced since they broke one time... but I think it´s normal for the amount we use it, specially for coconut milk, since the coconut is really hard. This is my first cold press juicing machines, but i thouroughly recommend it! Thank you Omega!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to love. After spending days of online research into juicing systems (centrifugal, masticating, twin gear) I realized how little I knew about juicers! Among all the varieties and models I researched, I realized several things mattered to me most: 1. Ease of assembly and disassembly, including washing of the juicer. Basically, if it was going to be a lot of work, I would not use it often enough to warrant an investment in the juicer. 2. Taste of the finished product. If the product didn't taste really nutritious and fresh, with little pulp in the juice, I wasn't interested. 3. Nutrition of the finished product. I realized the speed of the system had to be slow enough to maintain the optimal nutrition in the juice. Because I was not interested in the fastest processing of the juice, or the ability to process mostly fruits, and because I wanted to get the most nutrition and quality taste from the juice, I chose the Omega. I was on the fence between two juicers: the Omega and the Greenstar. Knowing I wanted to juice primarily leafy greens, including wheatgrass. I chose the Omega because it was $200 less expensive, ran at low rpms to preserve nutrition, and was a simpler juicer in terms of parts to clean. I'm glad I got the Omega! It's a great machine. Very quiet, juices everything I ask of it, with minimal pulp. It's easier to disassemble and clean than I imagined. Very easy to use. The Omega is a solid workhorse of a machine, but very user friendly. Highly recommended. It does a great job on leafy greens, including wheatagrass, as long as there are some hard items in the juice as well, such as celery, carrot, apple, etc. Otherwise, as with all juicers, foaming will be more significant. The Omega is a great juicer at a reasonable price. Not to mention the 15 year warranty is the best in the business.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great juicer! Had for about a month, I use it 2-3 times a day. It's a bit slower than my breville, but it's more efficient! I get more juice out of my produce. I used a nut milk bag before to catch my pulp and would squeeze out the remaining juice with my Breville, (which works great), but I don't have to with this! It does take awhile if you ate juicing for mote than 1 or 2 (which I am).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the action but how to clean? Great product.... after three months use of making carrot and vegetable juices, I am looking for a way to clean the attachments...... while they look clean after brushing under water, when the any of the parts are dry, they have a light gray film on it that cannot be removed unless scraped with a knife. The manual does not permit dishwasher use. What does one do to get the plastic clean of scale?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ever I have been juicing for over 30 years. This is the 12th type of juicer I have used. For me this is the best ever. I get the most yield of all kinds of fruits & vegetables. It's easy to use, assemble, & clean. It's quiet. The leafy greens have much less foam. The pulp is dry & the taste is better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Question What is the difference between this model NC900HDC and 8008C? The bodycopy for 8008C states: The unit's dual-stage juicing system ensures maximum efficiency, while its low rotation speed of 80 RPMs means no foaming, no clogging, and no heat build-up. Other highlights include a high juice yield with very dry pulp, an automatic pulp-ejection function for continuous juicing, heavy-duty construction, four stabilizing feet, and quiet operation. Does the NC900HDC do the same, for example pulp extraction, no foaming, no heat build up? The price difference for me isn't the issue, I am suppose to be limiting fiber as much as possible while juicing my fruits and veggies. Please explain the differences and benefits between the two models.

How much wider is the shoot in the 900HDC vs the J8006. And other then the adjustment at the end what are the differences?

Asked by: Justcruisinmom
Dear Omega Customer, The feed chute opening on the 8006 is a circle and has a diameter of about 1 1/4 inches. The NC900HDC feed chute opening is more oval shaped and is about 2 1/4 inches x 1 1/2 inches. The juice quality and quantity as well as the process and functionality are all very similar between the 8006 and NC900HDC. The warranty time frame of 15 years is also the same. The areas that make the two juicers different are the feed chute opening sizes and the adjustable end cap. Thank you! Omega Juicers

the locking clip that attacks the drum has become very difficult to turn I can't get it off at the moment

Asked by: Cedar
I had this problem for years until recently; I noticed if I hold the drum slightly upwards while removing/twisiting it unlocks with no problem. I think it gets a little of the sticky juice in there acting like a glue but with the very slight upward pressure it unlocks/twists out (at least for me) every time. Took me 3 years before I figured this out--it usually happens after juicing soft fruits.

Will this apparently nut butter making machine also make banana whips? (Frozen bananas in, 'ice cream' out)

Asked by: Tatiana
Yes, use the blank cone. Not the juice cone.

I have a problem with Drum to Locking Clip. After two years is very hard to unlock that Locking Clip from the drum. When I am doing juice is leaking overthere. Any help? Thanks

Asked by: Martin Vondracek
I have the same issue. I tried washing both parts well with a brush and even very thin piece of fabric but it didn't help much. Now, when it happens because it's not always which is a mystery to me, I gently tap the clip at the juncture with a butter knife handle until it moves. I'm just hoping this will not damage the clip in the long run but so far it's OK.
